It isn't perfect, but it has a sense of fun. If you love funny animal films, you will laugh till you cry at the antics of Beethoven and his human companions. I can see why it's a PG as my son was a bit unsure at the start when he saw the men being mean to the dogs but I was able to reassure him that it all works out in the end and they get what they deserve.
